The ACT Test

The Act is a test given to high school students who plan to attend college. It basically tests their overall knowledge. The test is given a few times over the year and costs a small fee, if you register late you will also pay a late fee as well. The test consists of 215 and it is a timed test. Scores range from 1-36. 36 being perfect, 27 to qualify for scholarships, and anything below 20 should be considered as a retake.
There are four sections to the test: Math English, Reading, and Science. It is important to answer each question or else it will count against you and you will receive your scores 4-7 weeks later.

Since he ACT test is so important, and can have such a huge impact on your future, it's important to do as well on the test. If you don't do so good you can retake the test . If you score higher, you can have that score sent to colleges instead. If you score lower, you can use the results from the other ACT test. It's up to you which score to use, which means taking it again and getting a lower score can't hurt you, but only help you. So if you think you can do better, you should definitely give it a shot.

White Elephant Gifts

A white elephant gift exchange isn't an exchange where you expect the great and the fabulous, it's more of one where you get "re-gifted" items and the bad, the good, and the ugly. At an elephant exchange everyone brings in on gift that is already wrapped and puts it in the middle. Then everyone draws a number in which the order of the gift unwrapping will go. (the higher the number the better)
When it is your turn to pick you can choose to unwrap another gift from the table or take one that someone has already unwrapped that you have been eye balling.

TIPS: Wrap ugly and bad presents in really decorative paper and pretty bows and the good presents in the ugly kind of paper.

Thanksgiving

The most familiar story of the first Thanksgiving took place in Plymouth Colony, (Massachusetts) in 1621. More than 200 years later, President Abraham Lincoln declared the final Thursday in November as a national day of thanksgiving. Congress finally made Thanksgiving Day an official national holiday in 1941.

Her Miles Are Over

A few weeks back In a previous blog I talked about a 9 year old girl named Melana Matson. Miles for Melana was a fundraiser to help this young girl's family with the expensive medical bills they were aquiring. The fundraiser went well and it was a very big help to her family.
