common sense test

Why did the chicken cross the road? The answer is simply just common sense. It wanted to get to the other side of course. I mean why else would anyone cross the road? In fact there are a lot of common sense things that slip right by people so see how much common sense you have...
1. Amanda's mom has 4 kids, Penny, Nickel, and Dime. What is the name of the 4th child?

2. Do books have even numbered pages on the left or the right side?
3.If a plane crashes on the boarder of the U.S and Canada where do you bury the survivors?

3.Is there a 4th of July in Mexico?

4.What year did Albert Einstein invent the light bulb?

5.

6.If U.S coins are worth a total of $0.30 and one of them is not a nickel then what are the 2 coins?

7.If there is a man travelling with a cat that has 12 kittens, a dog with 2 times as many puppies, a duck with a quarter amount of chicks as the dog has puppies... how many people are travelling?

History of the Rutabaga

with Halloween approaching soon many people will be buying pumpkins and carving faces to make Jack-O-Lanterns but in Scotland they will be doing something a little better. Instead of carving pumpkins they will be carving Rutabagas. Although they don't call them "Jack-O-Lanterns," they call them "Tumshie lanterns."
A rutabaga is a cross between a cabbage and a turnip. This little Swedish vegetable can be prepared in many ways whether it be roasted to be served with meat dishes or as the major ingredient in the ever popular Christmas dish Swede casserol ("lanttulaatikko.")
The Rutabega is a very famous vegetable. The town of Cumberland, Wisconson celebrates a "Rutabaga Festival" annually on Labor Day Weekend. The International "Rutabaga Curling Championship" annually takes place in Ithaca, New York. Frank Zappa sang the name rutabaga in the form of a slow yodel in the song "call any vegetable" in 1967. But most of all the rutabega is made most famous by John Everett.

Think You're the Only One?

I think there are a lot of random thoughts we have that other people think too. Or things we do that are really dumb that a million other people have done out there.Like the little things that barely ever cross your mind and don't really think about, but in the same note you never realize other people are the same exact way. I think this is just a little way of reminding us that we are really more alike than we even know. So here are just some random thoughts I guess...

*Have you ever been walking somewhere and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions.

*I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

*Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".

*Sometimes I'll look at the clock 3 consecutive times and still don't know what time it is.

*I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

* Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.

*I like all of the music on my ipod , except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs.
*I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but I bet everyone is wishing we weren’t watching this. I wonder if they like this? Then you feel It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'

*There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

*How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

*I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.

*I wonder if cops ever get aggrivated that everyone in front of them follows the speed limit?

* I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

*can anyone fold a fitted sheet, really?

*More often than not, when someone is telling a story all you can think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that you can tell your own story.
